Choosing the Right Type of Care for You!
Choosing the type of care that fits your needs at this point in your life is one of the most important decisions you can make! Your health is your responsibility, and we are excited to serve you, however you see fit.
Our main goal is to help you make educated choices in regard to the different types of health care available in our office.
There are three types of care:
"Do Nothing Now Care"
"Relief/Band-Aid Care"
"Life Enhancement/Corrective Care"
Do Nothing Now Care:
Although "Do Nothing Now Care" reflects a "save it for a rainy day" attitude, most people understand that the problem will most likely get worse with time. symptoms may come and go, but the underlying problem still needs to be addressed. We trust that you will receive the necessary information about your body and its health status from our office for future decisions.
Relief/Band-Aid Care:
This type of care is designed for people who want to focus now simply on relieving immediate symptoms. "Relief/Band-Aid Care" is like taking Rolaids® for a stomachache. The pain may temporarily go away but it does nothing to address the underlying cause.
Ignoring the underlying problem often leads to more serious problems down the road. (The problem that causes the stomachache could develop into ulcers---and worse---if untreated.) In the same way, pressure on the spine and nervous system can alter physical and chemical structures, possibly leading to decay and degeneration. The problem will most likely return again and again, often becoming a little worse each time. We are glad to address relief for your immediate symptoms, and we are here for those who later choose to correct underlying problems.
Life Enhancement/Corrective Care:
"Life Enhancement/Corrective Care" helps you get the most out of your body for the rest of your life! It goes beyond providing immediate relief, and addresses the underlying cause of your problem. Correcting the Vertebral Subluxations and interference within your spine and nervous system allows your body the opportunity to bring itself to its highest lever of health! This care is designed to bring about stabilization and healing.
This process takes Time, Repetition and Energy. Once your nervous system has started the healing process and functions closer to 100%, it pays you back many times over. You may then develop a stronger immune system, higher energy levels, better sleep patterns, clearer mental focus and a higher quality of life.

Here is what you should expect on your initial visit...
Consultation
Once you have completed a written description of your current problem
and related history, the doctor will sit down and discuss your problem
in depth with you in order to understand your problem from your point
of view. During this consultation, the doctor will discuss your overall
health and your previous medical history. He will then explore what
options are available to you and how you can achieve maximum health and
vitality.
Examination
You will receive a thorough chiropractic and neurological evaluation,
which includes two computerized neurologic studies, range of motion
tests, structural tests, postural assessment, as well as tests found
only in alternative medicine to find the root cause of the problem. The
specific part of the spine that may be contributing to the disease is
identified and ancillary systems checked. Your first examination will
allow the doctor to gain a complete understanding of your condition. In
most cases, the exam will also include an x-ray so that alignment of
your spine can be assessed and any subluxations located. Depending upon
your injury, other advanced testing may be required, such as
electromyography, M.R.I., Cat-Scan, or blood work ensure that your
condition is properly diagnosed.
X-Ray Studies
X-rays are sometimes required to get a full evaluation of a patient.
the need for x-rays is considered on a case-by-case basis. Pregnant
patients are not x-rayed. The x-ray equipment is state-of-the-art for
imaging. Spinal x-rays in a standing position allow the doctor to
observe normal spinal curves and angles. They are also valuable to rule
out fractures or tumors.
Report of Findings
On your return visit, the doctor will discuss his findings with you in
order to give you a thorough understanding of your examination results
and what they mean regarding your condition. If x-rays were taken, he
will review those with you and clarify how they help to direct the best
treatment plan. He will then discuss with you which chiropractic
options are best for you in regard to your return to good health and
inform you of the length of time that deemed appropriate to heal your
current condition.
Treatment
Chiropractic adjustments will be tailored to each individual's needs as
well as choice. It may consist of one spinal adjustment or a series of
adjustments over an extended period of time based on the individual's
health goals. The gentle yet effective alignment of the body is
interactive with the patient, gentle enough for kids, yet able to
restore normal nervous system function and joint movement to both the
athlete and the senior. Most patients begin to feel changes from the
very first adjustment.
